Purpose
The purpose with the course is for the participant to acquire theoretical understanding and practical application in fire prevention and firefighting, evacueation and calling for help.

Goal
At the end of the course the participant knows how to:

• Use fire extinguishers
• Use fire blanket
• Use CO2 extinguishers
• Evacuate smoke-filled rooms (part of 3+ hour course modules)

Understanding

• Theory of Combustion
• Theory of Fire Extinction
• Rules of Fire Extinction
• Emergency Preparedness Plans (part of 3+ hour course modules

Understanding of (4 hour course modules)

• Company evacuation plan and instructions
• Company / institution management, instructions and fire prevention strategies

Contents:

• Hand held fire extinguishers
• Fire blankets
• Smoke detectors
• Principles of Evacuation
• Movies detailing fire and evacuation scenarios (4 hour course)
